We think there are five basic ways to get involved in the life of the church and belong to our church family.
Come on a Sunday
Like Christians throughout the ages, we gather every Sunday to worship God together in song, to read Scripture, to celebrate Holy Communion, and to pray for the world. Our services are a blend of traditional and contemporary - but they’re always relaxed and welcoming to those who have never been to church before! We’d love you to come and have a look…
Join a Connect Group
Connect groups are groups of around 6-12 people who meet weekly or fortnightly to share life together, worship God, discuss the Bible and pray for one another. They usually meet in people’s houses and last around 90 minutes to 2 hours.
Serve on a team
There’s lots happening at St John’s and you can help! Whether it’s teas and coffees on a Sunday, joining the worship band or helping with the food bank there are lots of great things that need you. Send us an email to find out more.
Invest financially
‘Where your treasure is, there is your heart.’ With these words, Jesus indicated that we can tell what we really value by where we invest our money. We invite everyone who’s committed to the mission of St John’s to get involved in regular financial giving to support the work.
Join us in prayer
Prayer is central to everything we do at St John’s. Prayer is how we ensure that all our work is rooted in our relationship with God our Heavenly Father. We pray every weekday morning, and in our Connect Groups, as well offering prayer ministry in our Sunday services.
